LOOKS like ring are going back to the stone age , ip cams and PoE are the way to go, Elite door bell and elite stick up cam fast / 100% reliable / wifi just can not match this , even more so on phone networks . rings new floodlight cam just hard wired for power only . And ring not supporting mac and windows come October .TAKES RING from ''The BEST to a mid/range outfit. ,, ALREADY looking for a replacement

Hi @49e. You can find information on the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059101391-Ring-Floodlight-Cam-Wired-Pro-Information), which outlines both the power and wifi requirements. Your Floodlight Cam Wired Pro must be installed on a 4“ round UL listed weatherproof electrical box, and it connects to a 2.4GHz or 5.0GHz wifi network rather than ethernet such as the Elite. You can find more detailed installation instructions in our Help Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059068632-Installing-Your-Ring-Floodlight-Cam-Wired-Pro-), and if you have any questions or concerns during in the installation, we'd recommend contacting a qualified electrician. :)
