Motion detection zone not large enough

Just installed a Ring stickup cam to watch over my drive, the motion zone is only detecting up to around 12 feet and I need it to be at least 20-25 feet, the product is supposed to work up to 30ft, I cannot see what I am doing wrong, can anyone help, have been through the advanced settings but cannot get it to detect.Thanks
