Modes working correctly?

I would like to use modes but for some reason when I setup my stick up cam to disable live view and motion recording in home mode it still gives me motion alerts....why would I get motion alerts when I've specifically set this cam to not record motion at all? Or, make notifications a mode setting as well, without one of the two solutions it makes modes essentially useless imo.
