Missing motion and blank screen

My cameras miss motion regularly, if a leaf blows a cross the street I get an alert but if someone steals a package right in front of the camera it will miss it most times. Also, when I get a motion alert the screen will be black so I can’t see what happened even when I replay it. Anyone else have the same issues?
