How can I attach a camera to a tree?
I’d like to attach a camera to a tree to keep an eye on my car but I don’t want to damage the tree, can anyone advise please?

Responding to this old inquiry. Of course, mounting to trees is a viable option. You can use rubber strapping and mounts specifically made to protect trees from harm and brace the camera. You can diy camouflage a battery operated stick up which is also weather resistant. You can create a temporary housing to further protect the cam from harm. Its recommended not to mount the unit where the tree will shake, sway, or move excessively or where branches could sway in front of the lens. This could create unnecessary battery draw by triggering and recording every motion. Of course ring software can help mitigate some of that.

Hi there, we wouldn't recommend attempting to mount a Ring Camera to a tree. It may be difficult to have the Camera securely mounted on the tree to prevent it from falling and getting damaged.
