SSCarey - Is your question: * Can you MANUALLY download a copy of a particular video clip to your computing device (such as a cellphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop) and/or * Can Ring video clips AUTOMATICALLY be saved on a local server or NVR (such as one that is specifically designed for CCTV purposes)?

When subscribed to a [Protect Plan](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030333671-How-to-Subscribe-to-a-Ring-Protect-Plan-Subscription), neighbors are more than welcome to download videos that are important to them. This will save the video to your specific device, which you can then store anywhere you'd like. You'll also find great interest in our recently announced [Ring Edge](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054769672-Store-and-process-videos-locally-with-Ring-Edge) and Ring Alarm Pro. :)
