Cropped motion zone as compared to live view

I’ve owned several stick up cams, and a video doorbell for years. I’ve recently discovered that when drawing motion zones on the stickup cams, that the view is cropped (top 25%?) from what’s visible in live view. I found some posts from Ring stating “Note: your camera view is larger than the motion sensor view” posts but this is clearly not the case. It used to work with the full view just fine – there’s no hardware limitation as this had functioned this way for years. I also notice that custom motion zones now require Advanced Motion Detection. If you disable AMD then you lose the ability to edit the zones. Click the edit zones button, and it prompts to enable AMD. Don’t enable it? Sure, then no edit zones for you. So obviously there were firmware and/or mobile app changes that is artificially limiting the view. Is there any plan to return this functionality back to the state it was in when I first bought it? Either way, please register my complaint about the current user experience.
