Why is it per month instead of per year?

Anyone from my own father to my co-worker have ring and only spend $30-60/year and I'm stuck paying $120/year which is 10x more than what I anticipated on paying for this security system. Especially when it is delayed by a good 5-10 seconds to my phone when someone does approach.  I only have the door bell, occupancy sensor, main hub and key pad. I tried to go for opinions but the apartment my wife and I live in is subpar and our neighbors are trashy. So can someone please explain why that is and if there's any way I can pay $20-30/year instead of the $120/year I'm currently paying?

Hi @user_dd636b. There are different Ring Home plans, each with a different cost. You can also opt for either monthly or annual billing, which will affect the pricing as well. This results in people paying different amounts, as not everyone has the same setup and same plan.   You can view a breakdown of each plan's features and pricing at ring.com/plans. To see which plan you currently you have, you can log into your account at ring.com and navigate to the Plan tab. I'm happy to answer any specific questions you have about your plan.
