  Hi @Sammyd83. A Ring Protect plan is required for access to video recording. Without a Ring Protect plan, you cannot view previous events, as you will not have video recording. You can still access the Live View and receive notifications of visitors at your door. Check out [ring.com/protect-plans](https://ring.com/protect-plans) for more information on the features available with each Ring Protect plan.
