No live view and stuck on activating device
It's been months since the live view worked on my ring doorbell. RSI is fine and has good connection with the device, however every time I try live view, a black screen with activating device comes up and nothing will happen. I've tried resetting it multiple times to no avail.

Packet loss (whatever that means) My screen door (really, you mean the same door that's been there for a year without issue) blah blah blah.... Seriously, I got this so I can monitor whats happening when I am NOT home. Totally WASTE OF MONEY. They have gone so far down hill since they started. I am BEYOND frustrated. There's good and bad to Ring right???? I see so many neighborhood issues I want to check in more frequently, but can't. Maybe not knowing what's happening is better? :(Seriously considering cancelling the service.

The only thing that has changed on my end is upgrading my phone to iOS14, how can they blame everything but the app on this. My network didn't suddenly degrade when i upgraded to iOS14. I haven't been able to use my ring for days, i'm looking at the return policy now, i haven't had mine that long.

Last time I was able to "Live View" was 4 days ago, when we had a trespasser. Realized I had an issue yesterday when I couldn't access my live view for my flood light camera at our track. My home doorbell works fine, for over a year. The floodlight camera was flawless up until this recent issue. My internet is far better at our track than at our home. This is very disappointing since we have had multiple break-ins this year, and now I don't have the extra visibility to keep an eye on our property. We just bought 2 additional floodlight cameras to put up, but now I'm hesitant to install them if I will get the same result. Being that we are a 501c3, we can't afford to install devices that do not work correctly.

CI have the same sort of issue, however this only happens when I’m on my local WLAN, but works great when I flip to LTE. So clearly no issue with signal strength to the camera, no problem with upload, but something when I try to connect while on my own net. Just odd. [https://community.ring.com/

This issue came up for me when I got a new modem from Xfinity. Disabling Advanced Security on the modem resolved the issue. Go to xfinity.com/myxfi, click View Network Details, then disable Advanced Security.

SUpdate on my previous post. I’m regularly having this problem, and the only thing that reliably works for me is this: 1. Close the ring app completely. On iOS I load up all my apps and forcefully close it. 2. Open the ring app and go to the settings for your camera/doorbell. Do NOT go to live
