Mode buttons going away
Removing the mode buttons from the app is a thoughtless decision that ruins the user experience for everyone who uses Ring cameras, except apparently people with the alarm system. Is this a deliberate move to force users to buy the alarm? I don’t know, but for me it means dumping Ring and finding a better solution. I will not spend five minutes and dozens of taps to change the settings individually on all four of my cameras. Hey Ring, if you give a hoot about your customers, you will reverse this decision.

So what you’re saying is it’s a financial decision to get more money from us. I have 2 cameras and would need to give you a few more dollars a month. Why don’t you have an auto schedule to turn motion detection on and off?

I am very unhappy to. suddenly Not have my Home and Away button. I typically only video at night occasionally and often when we are away from home. I didnt realize what was happening when I could not shutoff the cameras during the day, the way I normally did with the Home button.. It took over 700 videos in 12 hours before I realized it. I was able to shut down each camera individually by turning off the motion buttons. But really why? I need my Home and Away buttons back!!

Hi @user_d62e6d. The changes you are referring to will not affect any neighbors that are on a Plus Plan, which, if you have multiple Ring devices, is most likely the plan you are on. The change to Modes will only affect neighbors on the Basic Plan. This page will reflect the new changes.
