App freezing during setup on iphone

I've been trying to set up my entire ring system and each time I go to add another device, the ring app freezing up, not on particular screens, and then I have to close down the program and start over. When I do that, trying to recognize the device again, because I have to assume it didn't when it froze on me, it says the device is already registered. I feel like I'm not going all the way through the setup portion for each device, and there doesn't seem to be a way to tell. PLUS it's frustrating to have to close the app and start over with each device. I'm doing a software update for the iphone to see if that helps. I just downloaded the ring app today so that one should be up to date. Any suggestions?
