Ring v2 Keypad stops sending Z-Wave commands shortly after inclusion

I have both a v1 and a v2 keypad that I'm using with my home automation software. The v1 keypad always sends the appropriate Z-Wave commands when buttons are pushed. The v2 keypad, however, sends them for a minute or so after inclusion, but then it stops sending zwave commands altogether, and the only way to get it to do it is to exclude/include, but then again only for a minute or less. I've factory reset, etc, and it still doesn't work. Has anyone else experienced something like this?
