Ring Alarm Base station needs reset following power loss
We had a brief (minutes) power outage so the Ring Alarm base station was on internal battery power. When power was restored the base station did not restore connectivity to our home network. The home network was fine for all other devices. The only support ring could offer was to reset the base station using a toothpick! That's all well and good if you are at home but if you are away and your alarm is set then a brief power outage would mean no more alerts over the internet until you get home and reset the device.Obviously if you pay for the protect plus plan then you can have monitoring over 3G until you get home and reset the base station. If you don't then....................You won't know anything about the safety of your home until you return and reset the base station.Surely the purpose of the internal battery is so that the base station continues to function and should auto-connect to the wireless once restored?
