Ring Alarm
How to reset base station red light
My base station has red light after an alarm was triggered. I disarmed and armed it again but the light is still red. How do I make it blue again? Thanks!

Hi there, neighbors! Power cycling the Base Station by removing power for a moment then reapplying, could work, but it is likely that your Alarm Base Station will go into battery backup mode. We do not advise removing the Base Station battery, but there is a "reset" pin hole on the Base Station in which a quick press may help. I recommend also checking the Base Station device health in your Ring app to confirm status and connection. Please note, our [help center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000071906-How-to-Factory-Reset-Your-Ring-Alarm-Devices) states that performing a factory reset on your Base Station should be done with our support team. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. Hi neighbors. If the light on your Ring Alarm Base Station is stuck, you can try rebooting the Base Station by quickly pressing and releasing the reset pin hole on the back. Do **not** hold this button down, or you will factory reset your Base Station which will kick all of the Ring Alarm components off your system as well. If a quick reboot does not help, please follow up with our support team at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) so they can guide you through all applicable troubleshooting steps. 1. Unplug the Base Station from its power source. 2. Remove the battery from the device. 3. Replace the battery, and re-plug your device back in. 4. After a full power cycle, the device should be reset.
