Can I install a second keypad in a detached garage?

I've been using a Ring Alarm 1st generation both in my home and vacation home for 3+ years without any issues... So far a great product. I'm in the process moving into a single home with a detached garage/shop and noticed that there is a recommendation to NOT install a second keyboard in a detached location. Why? What are the options to use the latest generation of Ring alarms at a two separate locations ~100ft apart.

Hi @HalInTex. The concern here is a security risk. If the Keypad is in a detached location, it can be more accessible to someone with ill intent. You can have multiple Ring Alarm systems, but only one of them can be[ Professionally Monitored](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005322066-Understanding-Professional-Monitoring-and-Self-Monitoring).
