What is the deal with no recording Amazon Deliveries?
For some magical reason. any Amazon delivery is NOT being recorded. My ring doorbell 4 records even the god damn fly passing by, I have maxed out motion to the max and to record basically anything that passes in front of it, it will even record the cars passing in the front. I live in a townhome and I have a 10-12 feet entrance, sidewalk and then the street. And still records cars passing by. I decided to track a package and just like it has been doing. I see truck pulling up ( no notification ) drivers gets out, brings the package in front of the door, literally stands in front of Ring and the thing never went off… I waited for him to leave, I stepped outside and literally as soon as my arm came out of the door it detected it and started recording. I am writing this review after 2 weeks of fully Monitoring this and I was never once able to get the driver dropping off my package. It doesn’t matter if it’s USPS, UPS, FEDEX it will not record. I even called Ring and they “ maxed out the settings too” and made sure based on the settings that it should record everything. Still did nothing, drivers showed up, left and still NOTHING. if in the Amazon App you can even track live where the drivers are, what makes you think Ring that is owned by Amazon, has a way to connect the two dots so every time driver is about to be at your door. It will not record. To me it makes total sense. But this is a security issue. Defeats the whole purpose of owning a ring system, is not a cheap system but this will make me completely get rid of Ring completely and try an alternative. Lots of people are having this issue, some mention they do get deliverers. I am not sure if maybe newer models are someway better controlable ? After calling ring the second time, they are sending a “new” unit since this seems to be bad according to the customer service I hope that it’s something off with my ring and the new one will record like it should but it’s the weirdest thing I have experienced with a security system.

It’s not a conspiracy or anything. It’s what is obvious. I am not sure if maybe I am being clear but 15 deliveries I received from Amazon in the past two weeks and 0 delivered were recover. Amazon delivered are the only thing I am not being notified about or recorded through the app. There is clearly an issue, I am not saying the driver itself is causing harm or anything but there is for sure something that is not right. I had ring in the past when I lived in an apartment I had the cheaper version and it catches all of those without an issue and the range of motion was a lot less because I had a hallway. Someone can be seen in and out in 1 second and still catch it Without a doubt there is an issue and it just ether hasn’t been resolved or it’s being done on purpose

Yeah that honestly makes no sense tho… they can be speeding and dropping it off and it should still catch it. Even with pre-roll. Even when I or anyone barely makes it to the eyesight of the camera, it captures it. Even if it’s after cooling it off or doing it constantly between it does catch my recording. If it’s USPS only, no via AMAZON it does captures it. And they are usually in and out. It captures from the time they get out of the car and to the point they completely leave the area…. Amazon related deliveries does not. It’s not a matter that they are in and out fast. It still should be able to catch it based on the way it catches the rest of them.
