Video Doorbell Elite stress cracks

I’m sharing this to warn others about my experience with Ring support and the disappointing quality of their Video Doorbell Elite ($349.99). After a relatively short period of use, the screen protector on the camera developed stress cracks, which now cause blurry lines across the video feed—clearly a defect in the product's materials and design; let alone the lack of safety this now causes to my home. When I contacted Ring support, hoping they would stand behind the quality of their high-priced device, I was offered nothing more than a 35% discount toward a new unit. That’s their solution—to spend even more money on a product that’s already proven to be poorly made. It’s incredibly frustrating to see a company so unwilling to take responsibility for a clear manufacturing flaw. At this price point, you’d expect a premium product and responsive support—not a brush-off and an upsell. Buyers beware: Ring’s customer care and product durability leave a lot to be desired.
