Video Doorbell (2nd gen) won't conntect to TP-Link AC1200 WiFi Extender

My Ring Video Doorbell (2nd gen) has been having connection issues with the wifi from the main router over the past few months. I purchased a TP-Link AC1200 WiFi Extender. and have it plugged in on the same wall as the Ring, but of course, inside the house. When using the extender and reconnecting the Ring to the wifi, the Ring will include the extender on the list of wifi signals to choose from, I select it, enter the correct password, and follow all of the prompts, but the Ring will not connect.  I tried having the Ring next to the extender while trying to connect, but it still won't work. The extender has an excellent signal and when I tried connecting other devices there was no difficulty connecting.  To see if the issue was with the extender, I brought the Ring close to the router to try to reconnect to the wifi. I am experiencing the same issues with not being able to connect.  The Video Doorbell (2nd gen), is hardwired and the battery is charged. The extender firmware is up-to-date. Why can't I get the Ring to connect? Thanks for any guidance. TS

    Hi @user_161796. What does it say in the Ring app when the Doorbell fails to connect? Do you see a specific light pattern on the Ring Doorbell itself? This information can help us narrow down why the Doorbell isn't connecting.    Is your wifi network 2.4GHz, 5GHz, or both? If your router is dual-band, do both of the networks share the same network name and password? Check that the ports and protocols used by Ring devices are open on your network as well.
