Video Doorbell 2Gen: Doorbell constantly rings

Hi, After connecting my video doorbell 2nd generation to the doorbell wiring, the doorbell won't stop ringing - a continouos buzz. In addition, in the app it shows "Power source: Battery" What is wrong?

Hi there, @Y008008. The Video Doorbell can be connected to wires supplying 8v to 24v of AC power. Please ensure this is what the transformer and chime kit in use is rated for. I recommend also checking out our [Chime compatibility list](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003008663-Ring-Video-Doorbell-2-Chime-Kit-Compatibility-List) to ensure the chime can work with your Doorbell model. Please also ensure the wires are not touching any where, and they are securely attached to the terminal screws on the back of the Video Doorbell. I hope this helps! :)

But why would the chime continuously ring? It's as if the Ring doorbell is just closing the circuit of my original chime and causing it to be constantly in a pressed state

@Y008008 Happy to chime in for Marley here. If the chime kit is incompatible or the wires are not set properly, this could cause the chime kit to constantly ring. If the suggestions provided by Marley are not successful in resolving your concern, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). They'll be able to take a closer look for you to help get this sorted out. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support. :)
