Ring Video Doorbell
Streaming error
When I click on Live View I get "Streaming Error" I have very good wireless speed, a Chime Pro, my RSSI speed is 64. If I ring the doorbell, my wife can answer and see me moving at the door. So why can't I get Live View

CHi @xLarry. Thanks for getting back to me and letting me know! Could you possibly remove the Ring app from your phone, reboot your phone (turn it off/on) and then reinstall the Ring app? @Froger1977 If you are able to connect when on your wifi, but not with mobile data, this may be a concern with your mobile service provider. If you've ran out of data on your wireless plan, this may be restricting and slowing down your speeds, therefore unable to load the Live View while on data.

HI am receiving a “streaming error” when attempting to access live view on my stick up cam. My ring doorbell 2 works fine. What’s the issue? See attached photo.

TSame issue here. I have three cameras and everything was fine for 6 months then Live View stopped working today. The cameras are active but when I request Live View it says to Reconnect, but the cameras already are connected to my WiFi and working, just not in Live View. Please advise since none of the suggested workarounds have resolved this issue.

MHey neighbors! Thank you for helping each other out in this thread as we experience some outages with the Ring app and Ring.com. Please note that the issues within the app and the website would have been affecting this feature, but as of Nov 27, 11:44 UTC, a fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results. If you are still experiencing any further issues with your Ring devices and how they were behaving previously, I recommend giving our support team a call so they can look into this further. You can give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). JIt took you months to explain a bug? Totally unacceptable and beyond HORRIBLE customer service.

SI just deleted the doorbell 3 and reinstalled it last night, now by 9:30 in the morning it has ceased to stream again. This is the fourth time in the last week. Look guys, wifi signal strength isn't the problem, neither is cellular data nor the router. You have a problem. Fix it. The only way to currently fix this is to unintall the camera and reinstall it and even then apparantly the fix lasts less than 24 hours. This is unacceptable.

I'm having the same problem - started today - cannot access Live View due to "Streaming Error" but the WIFI is strong and the Ring says it's connected and operating fine. So what the hell is the problem??

I get this same issue. I have Cox Gigablast and have tested 400 mbps down on some of my wireless devices, and 920 mbps down on hard wire. Every single camera that I have including my Arlo, and the security cameras that all work off of wifi work instantly and have very good quality; as can be expected with internet of this speed. This is not a connectivity issue, or I would have trouble around the board. But in this case, the only problematic device is the Ring doorbell. I am so glad this was free and came with the house. I’ve bought a second home and will rent this one; but for the second home it sure as heck won’t be a Ring. I don’t understand why companies like this put the blame on others instead of their own product. Clearly it’s the problem of either the service or the hardware.

JYep, ditto. When these cameras go bad, I am going with another camera vendor. I want performance, I want RELIABILITY and I also want the ability to store my videos on my own devices/storage and not THEIRS.

Hi all, I’ve been having this issue all day. Tried disconnecting the WiFi and rebooting the router. Tried connecting to the camera in my iPad rather than my phone but I still had the same issue. I finally removed the camera from the app and reinstalled and it has fixed the streaming issue

RYup, remove and reinstall the camera as outlined here; [https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034825092-How-to-Reconnect-Your-Ring-Device-to-Wifi-or-Change-Your-Wifi-Network](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034825092-How-to-Reconnect-Your-Ring-Device-to-Wifi-or-Change-Your-Wifi-Network)

Hi @xLarry. When you are attempting to load the Live View, are you connected to any work wifi networks or are you using your mobile data? If you are connected to a wifi network that is not your own, there may be restrictions that limit streaming like enabling the Live View. Additionally, being on a VPN network may also prevent it from loading. If you can, please make sure all these things are disabled and you are using mobile data only. With mobile data only, see if the Live View loads for you! Hope to hear back from you soon.
