Sound notification problem on Xiaomi 12 Lite

Using a wired ring doorbell, I receive push notifications when someone presses the doorbell, but it is very rare for there to be a sound notification.This renders the doorbell useless, unless I'm eating the phone screenWorks ok on iphone13I've followed various suggestions, battery settings, hidden settings etc. to no avail.Help!
