Solar charging ring doorbell

Hello, I am really frustrated, disabled and struggle to change batteries, so had the bright idea of getting a solar charger. did a lot of research and purchased one that sits behind the doorbell itself- but the ring unit does not have the connection for the solar piece. Then bought a refurbished ring 3 but this also has no connection - what am I doing wrong - what do I need to purchase? I am in the UK
