Solar charger for 2nd generation doorbell

Question

I have a solar charger for my 2nd generation ring doorbell. Unfortunately with where my doorbell is installed, I can not install the charger under the doorbell and have the video lined up properly.  Is there a way for me to install the solar charger about 6' away from the doorbell.  I have noticed that unfortunately the power cable from the doorbell to the solar charger is only 2' long.

Hi @user_2042d1. No, the Ring Solar Charger should only be installed under the Ring Doorbell, as outlined in the instructions. I would not recommend trying an alternative installation method, as that could cause damage to the charger or to your Doorbell.
