Ring Pro suddenly far more sensitive
Yesterday, our doorbell pro that we've had for about a year became far more sensitive. I have it set to the lowest motion capture, with a small zone aimed at people coming up our sidewalk to the house. Now, anyone who walks by on our side of the street or even the opposite side of the street produces a notification, which, if it continues, will make me ignore the notifications.Does anyone know a reason why the sensitivity would change so radically in one day?

This is Exactly what I've been experiencing since early this morning. I even made my zone smaller, but it doesn't matter, it still is going off like crazy.

C...and I really appreciate the response from Ring... Their response has been deafening. (said in jest) Past communications have only been platitudes and none of their so-called fixes have worked. I would need to stand on a ladder 24-7 and try all their combinations of solutions, to no avail, Yesterday, the driveway camera was going off every 3 to 4 seconds, even when silencing it.

I removed my separate post and am going to piggy back on this one. Here is from my deleted post:Ring Video Doorbell Pro Going off ConstantlyEarly this morning, my Ring Video Doorbell Pro starting going off constantly. I've made no chagnes to the sentitivty, but now it is picking up and reporting movement across the street. My Zone is the same as it has always been, and we've never had this happen.Typically it will pick up people in front of our house on the sidewalk, cars that pull up, and those that ride close to the front of our house. Now, it is picking up every little movement across the street. (we have a very wide street) It has NOT done this before unless it is a huge vehicle, like a tow truck. So everytime someone walks on the side walk at the park, it goes off. AGain, it has NEVER done this before and I've made no changes prior to this increase sensitivity.I have since gone in and made the zone smaller, and lowered the sensitivity, but it has made no difference.Any ideas? was there a recent firmware update?HELP! It is going off every few minutes, sometimes once a minute, which defeats the purpose of having the Ring to capture actual applicable events.Thank you!

I can also confirm that my Ring Pro sensitivitiy seems to be hyper sensitive now. Adjusting the slider and redrawing the motion boxes have no effect. Have had this Ring Pro for over 2 years now without issue, now movement that would have been ignored earlier is now prompting an alert. Things like cats walking across the sidewalk or in some cases random trash blowing around have triggered motion alerts. I have gone from maybe 5 or 6 alerts a day for the past 2 years to close to 40 alerts a day this past week with the sensitivity set to people only and the detection box reduced to about 1/5 of what it used to be. Please help.

CI have been having the same issue for the past 3 days... Called Ring Support twice - changed the sensitivity twice, changed the field of motion many times - all have no effect on the the number of alerts being received... The camera is now useless, as there are too many alerts to pay attention to. Why can't RING take responsiblity for a change THEY made and stop trying to get us to adjust our specifications that have worked (in my case) for 3 years?

UThey're update in October has ruined the light sensitivity settings on floodlight cams as well. Lights going on and off all night long and never did before on lowest sensitivity. My doorbell pro is more sensitive and alerting motion to light reflections and it never did before the October update.Everything worked perfect until the October updates.

I am about to rip my Ring doorbell off the door frame and throw it away. We have had ours for two years with no problem, and as of a few days ago, it goes off about every 10 seconds. I’ve tried making all of the suggested adjustments and it still goes off just when the wind blows. I really hope this problem gets fixed soon!! It’s literally gone off 8 times in the time I’ve typed this.

IUpdate:I called support. He was very nice, but said they had no idea this is happening to anyone. I told him to come here and read this thread. He rebooted my doorbell from his side. Now, I have the opposite issue - my doorbell barely chimes, even when someone is standing there. I had company yesterday, and the alert only went off once, even with people coming and going multiple times.I also went in and out several times, with only one alert. So, if they tell you to reboot, use caution.I'm going to have to call in again tomorrow and ask for an upper level tech.

JSame issue here. The motion sensitivity has suddenly gotten annoyingly frequent. It used to detect only on the sidewalk coming up to my front door. Starting today it now triggers when anyone walks by in the street which is 30 feet or more from my front door. I have it on people only but it is going off so much it is about to be rendered useless. I bought a new Ring Doorbell Pro today to replace my current one due to power issues I have been having. My current Pro randomly shuts down and I have to take it off the wall, disconnect the wires and hook them back up to get it to reboot. (And yes I have a 16 vac 30VA transformer in the attic). I was going to install the new Doorbell Pro, but if this is the new norm for motion alerts I may return it and go another direction.
