troubleshooting

Hi, I bought new ring doorbell pro to replace my failed one. The Wi-Fi went down and I couldn’t connect it so it’s been stood a while. Eventually got Wi-Fi sorted, but doorbell won’t spin white, it’s a pulsing white which is apparently update mode. But it won’t update as it’s not connected to Wi-Fi and I can’t connect it as it won’t spin white. Tried resetting it, pressing the button, unplugging it, can not get it to connect. It has never been connected to the base station. No idea what to do.

Hi @user59222. When rebooting your Doorbell Pro, you want to make sure you are pressing and holding the setup button for 20–25 seconds. You will also want to make sure the [Pro Power Kit](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005974286-How-to-Install-Pro-Power-Kit-V2-for-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro) that it came with is installed correctly. Lastly, if it is not going into setup mode, you want to check that it is still receiving the correct amount of voltage for it to operate correctly. The wires going to the Pro should be reading a minimum of 16 volts. If you are not comfortable working with live wires, I recommend consulting a qualified electrician for help. If you have tried these steps and are still having the same concern, give our [support team](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406) a call for further assistance.
