Ring doorbell not working at all

Hi ,So my doorbell suddenly stopped working , I thought it had run out of battery so I charged it overnight and out the batteries back in the doorbell however it didn't work and the doorbell won't even switch on. So I got new batteries and inserted these and the doorbell is still not working. It doesn't light up , it doesn't do anything! Please help ! This was only purchased about 8 months ago!
