  I am having the same issue. I was on with Customer Service for over 2 hours trying to get it sorted out. They advised me to create 2 motion zones which helped a tiny bit but still missing a lot of motion.

  in motion settings turn off (smart alerts) and select your motion area to max,  it should work.

  Hi neighbors. If your Doorbell is not recording any motion detection at all, try the following steps:* Reboot your Doorbell using the Ring app.* Disable Motion Detection and enable it again. Adjust your Motion Zones and increase your Motion Sensitivity. * Factory reset your Doorbell by pressing and holding the setup button for 20–25 seconds, and then reconnect it to your wifi.If you have tried these steps and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here, or reach out on Facebook @Ring via private message.

  Mines isn’t working either I’ve tried rebooting the doorbell and the whole system and I’ve turned off the power to the door bell and nothing works. I’ve talked to a lot of people and they are having the same issues. At this point I think there is something wrong on Ring’s part.

  Hi @user_9b9690. We have some troubleshooting suggestions in the previous moderator reply that may help. It's also important to ensure your Ring Doorbell has a strong internet connection, and that you have not turned motion detection off within the Modes settings.

  It's definitely something wrong with Ring's system. It has been stated on social media that Ring's system was hacked and there have been a lot of people getting robbed including celebrities because people are gaining access to the ring system. I have had the same issue for almost four months and have spoken with customer service multiple times. They don't have a fix and having the Ring is pointless at this point. I'm so glad I didn't waste more money building more cameras from this janky company. I also saw that Ring was sued back in 2023 by users and the FTC for their workers accessing private data. This company is trash.

  I just installed my ring doorbell today and I’m having the same issue. I was walking around my driveway and front yard and my motion zones were not detecting any motion. I went from a blink doorbell camera to this one because I thought it was better. Please help me fix this issue.
