Ring doorbell 2 battery issues
Hi, I recently hardwired the ring doorbell 2 using the diode and it worked for a bit then stopped charging so I just left it and switched off the power. Now I have an issue with the battery, it has 41% according to the app but it’s offline, I tried to charge it and when I plug in the charging cable I get a flicker of orange and only the green light stays on which I think means that the battery is fully charged, it’s impossible for it to be fully charged but it also doesn’t appears to charge either. I’ve had it about 2 years, is it normal for a battery to die after 2 years or can anyone help? Thanks in advance

Hi @Cam3048. I would try to perform a reset on your device and then [reconnect](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034825092-How-to-Reconnect-Your-Ring-Device-to-Wifi-or-Change-Your-Wifi-Network) it your wifi network. To perform a reset, press and hold the setup button for 20 seconds, then release. Once it is reconnected, perform a button push or activate the Live View to update the correct power percentage. I hope this helps!
