Ring door bell notification

troubleshooting
my friend has a ring door bell 2 and a chime ,.both working fine.but he is not getting a notification on is Samsung mobile.I found the issue is he has 24 notifications on the ring appon the Home Screen. I removed the 24 notificationsand then pressed the ring doorbell button and hegot 1 notification.but the next day the 24 notifications came back and itsblocking any new notifications
