Ring Cloud Storage

I wanted to ask what the delay in motion detection would be. The camera activated at 18:03 with the door opening. Then it didn't pick up anything afterwards when my tenants left within the next minute or two. It only picked up another motion 18:32 which is 30 minutes later. How do I make it so the delay between recording activations shorter? Let's say if a break in occurs, then they leave in less than 2 minutes, I wouldn't see what they took when they leave.
