Ring cams refuse to connect to wifi
Over the last two days, my wired doorbell Ring Pro 2 and Stick Up Cam Elite (2nd Gen) have stopped connecting to my wifi, although they did it about 36 hours apart. I’m using a Google Home Wifi system and none of the hardware, SSID or password have changed in a couple of years, and several other Ring cams (indoor and outdoor) are still happily connecting and sending data through to the Ring app. I tried getting the Elite connected back up again but it won’t finish reconnecting; during the wifi connection process, it just claims there’s a problem with my internet. I’ve even tried to get it to connect to an older WPA/WPA2 wifi router just to rule out issues with 2.4GHz vs 5GHz or related security. Nothing works. It sees all the available wifi networks so its wifi radio appears to be fine. If I connect it to wired ethernet, it works just fine but where I normally have it, there’s no convenient wiring. Firmware is 14.0.4. The doorbell remains powered and pressing the button causes the chime inside the house to go off, but the camera aspect simply never connects to wifi so the Ring app considers it offline. Firmware according to the web app is 14.0.5. If it was just the one camera going down, I’d be inclined to blame defective hardware, but two in two days despite having fun just fine for years suggests something else. Anyone know if a new firmware has been pushed out recently that might have borked their wifi connectivity? Update: Finally found the screwdriver for the security screw on the doorbell and was able to do a factory reset to get it back onto the network. Went through the spinning blue circle of death, then the flashing blue circle of death, then the “Oh my god it’s not responding at all” circle of death, before it finally returned to the white circle of setup. Still haven’t got the Stick Up Cam Elite working though.

Hi @Owainsky. I am glad you got the Doorbell working. Now for the Camera, try rebooting it as well by pressing and holding the setup button on it for 20–25 seconds. If you have tried this step and it still has the same concern, give our support team a call for further assistance.
