Ring Video Doorbell

Ring camera failed to pick up burgler.
Why would my doorbell fail to pick up the group as they walked past the door then not pick up one of them as he came right up to the door and tried the door handle? Our other security camera recorded him approaching, he spotted the Ring doorbell, pulled his hood over his face and brazenly went up to the door with his face about a foot from the doorbell. The doorbell camera captured none of this! The footage just skips from 11.27 to 12.27, to 1.27 and so on until 6.01 in the morning when it finally captures someone. A sensor on the doorbell appears to light up as the burglar approaches and he spots it but nothing is recorded. I don't understand.

Hi @user_ab0a69. I do not have an answer on exactly why your Doorbell failed to pick up motion since there could be few reasons as to why it did not. However, I can offer some troubleshooting steps to try and prevent this from happening again. Try the following steps: - Reboot your Doorbell using the Ring app. - Increase your Motion Sensitivity. - If your Doorbell is battery operated, change its Motion Frequency too Frequently. - Verify your Doorbell has good signal strength. - Make sure your Doorbell is not facing any windows or mirrors as the reflection may affect its motion detection. I hope this helps.
