Ring Camera and Amazon Deliveries
Recently, we noticed our Amazon deliveries are not showing up on our Ring cameras. This was confirmed today. I was home and watched the Amazon Delivery person walk up to our front door where one of our two Ring Cameras are located. He set the package on the step and took a picture of the package...literally in front of the camera. I went outside 2 minutes later to grab the package and my Ring Camera picked me up. How is this happening? Wifi Blocker? I am not spending the money to hard wire. If Ring can't solve this problem, we will need to disable our service and find another security camera that has the capability to not be blocked.

I TOTALLY AGREE. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY RING DOORBELL. IT RECORDS EVERY OTHER EVENT, BUT NOT WHEN AN AMAZON PACKAGE IS PUT ON MY PORCH. I GOT A DELIVERY TEN MINUTES AGO AND GOT NO MOTION ALERT. AMAZON DRIVERS NEVER RING THE DOORBELL SO GET NO IMMEDIATE ALERT. RING IS IGNORING US. JUST TELL US THE TRUTH.

Same here!!! Not sure it’s just Amazon. It’s not picking up deliveries from the post office or DPD. I’m going to turn off package notifications and see if that helps. Although it showed me arriving home last night. Perhaps delivery drivers are carrying some kind of blocker and, if so, whether it’s a company policy or individual choice. Something is going on. Hmmmm

There are a lot of factors that can impact motion detection, including the settings and wifi connectivity. It's a good idea to review your Motion Zones and Motion Sensitivity to ensure they're set to your preference. If you have a battery powered Ring Doorbell, you'll also have access to the Motion Frequency option. Ring Home subscribers can use Smart Alerts to refine motion detection further, though you might try toggling Smart Alerts off if you notice motions are being missed. Delivery drivers are usually on a strict schedule, and may not walk close enough to your door to be detected by your Ring Doorbell and Camera. It's unlikely that they are carrying wifi blockers or jammers. If there was interference with your network, you would see other wifi connected devices experiencing issues at the same time. I'd recommend contacting your internet service provider if you have network security concerns.
