Ring 2 Doorbell poor WiFi RSSI
Hi, My current RSSI is -67dBm which works OK, however if I place my phone in the same position as the doorbell it receives the same WiFi signal at -44dBm. The AP is only 2m from the doorbell (behind a brick wall) and I even created a separate SSID just for ring. 23dBm is a massive difference compared to my phone, is the ring hardware really that bad ?

Hey @tescophil! A -67 RSSI can certainly cause inconsistencies in connection and functionality. Check out our [Community post](https://community.ring.com/t5/General-Questions/Your-Ring-Device-RSSI-Good-vs-Poor/m-p/751#M4) about RSSI for tips on optimizing signal strength. Brick walls are some of the toughest exterior walls for wifi signal to travel through. Moving the router closer or using our [Chime Pro](https://shop.ring.com/collections/accessories/products/chime-pro) might assist with connection quality. I hope this helps! :)
