Repost: Pro Power Kit V2 Bypass Mode or twist wires together
hardwired-video-doorbell
Seems like Reply was not working for previous post so I will try again. I have a Wired Doorbell Plus and an existing mechanical chime that I will not be using. I will be using a Ring Chime instead. Do I need to use the Pro Power Kit V2 in Bypass Mode or can I just twist together the wires at the existing mechanical chime to complete the circuit to power the doorbell? If I need to use the Pro Power Kit V2 in Bypass Mode, what benefit does it provide? Thanks, Elliot

Hi @elliotk1. You should be able to reply to your previous post. Make sure you're using an updated browser with no VPN enabled. The Pro Power Kit v2 has two bypass holes to lock the wires in place, and it is recommended to use it to bypass your internal doorbell chime. The Pro Power Kit v2 is easy to install, and it has a self-healing fuse. This can help protect your Doorbell and ensure it is receiving sufficient power.
