NO exposure adjustment

Why has it taken over 3 years to get an exposure adjustment on the RING app? You keep saying "coming soon!" The person at my door is a silhouette, black, no features. The camera automatically exposes for the bright background. HDR doesn't help. I spent over an hour with customer support who said they could adjust exposure on THEIR end. They couldn't. An hour wasted. Why can't you give us a simple slider to adjust the exposure?
