New Wired Doorbell Plus very hot at back
troubleshooting
I just installed a new Wired Ring Plus. The back of the unit is too hot to touch. Seems like a fire hazard. Very disappointed. This unit was replacing an Elite that just stopped working after 6 years. I was advised to replace the Elite. So far not very impressed with the Ring Plus. Have reported it to Ring. Waiting for an answer. Unit must be faulty.

Hi @user_ba0064. It is normal for a Wired Doorbell Plus to be hot to the touch since it is an outdoor hardwired device. If you feel like yours is more than hot to the touch, then you can escalate a safety concern with our support team. Give our support team a call using one of the numbers available here.
