My Doorbell rings when ring door bell detects motion
Hi I installed Ring video doorbell pro 2 on my new home. I have an electronic door bell installed by my builder (model: nicor prcp2). When installing door bell i didn’t install pro power kit which came with the ring doorbell pro 2 and connected to the wires that came with current doorbell. I changed setting in home chime setting to mechanical based on online suggestions. It was working fine until few days back. It is automatically ringing when motion is detected and it is not ringing when ring button is pressed. I have ring alerts, motion alerts and motion detection enabled. I did turn off ring alerts and motion alerts but still it is automatically ringing when motion is detected. Can someone suggest how to turnoff automatic doorbell ring when motion is detected and ring only when doorbell button is pressed. TIA

Hi @Caitlyn_Ring here is the link to the video. I had removed and checked wiring and it seems to be fine. I did remove everything and installed back it worked fine for couple of weeks and today morning it started doing it again. So i recorded the video as soon as it start acting weird. Please go thru the video and let me know what needs to be done to get this resolved. It is so annoying because ring sound keep on coming too many times. https://youtu.be/dgo4H1kzxko

THi @Hmed1618 I suggest following the steps listed in this Community Post [here](https://community.ring.com/t/pro-power-kit-v3-ring-pro-2-w-nicor-prcp2-doorbell/86230/13). If that doesn't correct the issue, you'll need to disconnect the Ring Pro 2 and connect our support team to go over a few things with you. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.

Hi @Hmed1618. When you say that the doorbell rings when motion is detected, are you referring specifically to the internal chime kit in your home? Or are you hearing an audible alert from your Doorbell or the Ring app when motion is detected? If you're able to, try to capture a recording of this happening and share that here so I can take a closer look at what may be going on. You can upload this video elsewhere, such as YouTube, and then share the link to the video in your reply here.
