Losing patience with Ring doorbell

Hello,Pardon my rant but I am so frustrated with the Ring doorbell. I never know whether it is working or not and so many times now we have had visitors or deliveries who press the bell, hear the chime then when we don't answer they go away. Problem 1 - Ring should indicate it is offline to visitors so they can rely on the far more reliable method of knocking on the door. Instead it chimes so they think it is okay.Problem 2 - Ring should tell me when it has gone offline.P.S. Dont bother telling me to reset this or reboot that, or read post this or post that. Life is too short. . I have umpteen Wi-Fi devices and the Ring is the worst by far.
