Is there a minimum height to install?

My doorbell was only 36" from the ground, so I was able to get my ring doorbell up to almost 37" at the bottom of the unit while still having the ring doorbell cover the wires where they feed into the door frame. Is this tall enough or should I be looking to pull the wires up and then cover to have the ring doorbell at the recommended 48"?
