Ring Video Doorbell
Incorrect Email when registering for the app.
Hello, this is a bit of a long winded problem but I'll try to explain it in the best way possible. I brought a new ring doorbell and set it up under my own personal email. After it was set up I changed the password and email to mine and my partners shared email which is an outlook email. However, when changing the email I may have missed a letter out of the outlook meaning the email now read oulook, missing the t. So when the Ring app is asking me to verify I cannot. I also cannot change the email to the correct one as it's asking me to verify the email as soon as I login. I tried to create a new account to solve this using the correct email and try to set up the ring device on there. However, it's already connected to the oulook email. I have contacted support and they have advised me to request a transfer in the app from my correct email, which I have done, the request can take 15 days or more. They said I can leave the doorbell up for security purposes. After making the request for transfer I then put the battery back in as even though I couldn't change any settings, I was still being notified on my incorrectly associated account that someone was at the door etc... I also found when clicking on this notification it allowed me to browse through settings and invite a user for shared access. I did this and invited the correct email. So now I have access to the doorbell but only on a shared access basis. Today is the 16th day, still unable to transfer despite the battery being out the device for the last 48 hours. Customer service are now telling me I need to wait another 15 days with the battery out of the device for the whole time. Any suggestions?
