How to connect a Solar Panel to a Ring Doorbell 4 that has a wedge

I am considering adding a solar panel to power my Ring Doorbell 4. However, I have a wedge fitted which blocks access to the back of the doorbell. There are no holes in the wedge through which to feed the power cable. Is a different wedge required in order to attach a solar panel ?
