Hardwired Doorbell White Light

I have seen a few topics regarding this issue but it seems that there is still no fix even though it is a concern from many Ring users. Has anyone managed to turn off the continuous white light on a hardwired door bell or is there plans for Ring to actually introduce an update to allow the light to be switched off? I have recently hardwired my battery powered doorbell and I did not realise that the light around the push button would remain on. Ring - please introduce a toggle or feature on the app to disable this.
