Extra batteries discharged when stored charged
I charge my extra battery then store it for a couple of months. then when I need to replace the one in the video doorbell u nit, the stored battery needs to be charged again. OVER 4 HOURS TO RECHARGE!! this happens onBOTH batteries.... grrrr

So is it best to leave the spare battery depleted until it's almost time for it to be needed, or to leave it charging for months until it's needed, or ? What's the best practice?

CHi @fssbob. I'd recommend keeping an eye on the battery level of your Doorbell in the Ring app, and charging your spare battery when the installed battery starts to get low. That way you do not have the spare battery sitting there for months, potentially losing some of its charge, and can quickly swap out the batteries as needed. :)
