Doorbell replacement with Professional Monitoring in place
Hello. I've just had a defective Ring doorbell replaced under warranty. I have a Ring alarm system, and Ring Professional monitoring. My plan is to delete the old doorbell, then install and add the new one. Do I have to do anything else to make sure the new doorbell remains on my monitoring plan? Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the help. Here's what has happened: - While I received several messages from Ring regarding the replacement device, none of them included installation instructions. That's OK, but it's why I've asked for help/advice here - I've followed your advice and installed the new device. It works fine. But the old one is still there in the app. Should I manually delete it? - How can I verify that the Ring Protect Plan information has automatically transferred over? Thanks again for the help.

THey @MJV. I would first check on Ring.com by logging in and clicking My Dashboard (upper right). From the Dashboard, you can click Protect Plans. From there, you'll be able to select your Ring Devices and see what's covered. If for some reason your new device is not covered, either respond to an email that the support agent sent you or give them a ring so they can sort it out for you. :grinning:

Thanks again for the help. My new video doorbell shows up as a covered device in the Protect Plan so I'm all set.

Hi @MJV. If you have a replacement Doorbell, you do not need to remove the old Doorbell. Simply add the new Doorbell to your Ring app and the old one will delete itself and the Ring Protect Plan information will automatically transfer over. You should have also received an email with this information. If you don't see it, check your junk or spam folders. I hope this helps!
