Ring Video Doorbell
Doorbell Pro P1-70
My Ring Doorbell Pro has an error code P1-70. So far, I've not been able to find out what this means by searching online. Anyone have any idea on it? The set screw is also stripped. So, I'm not able to take the cover off at this point to press the button on the side. Device is offline. I have another camera that is connected to Wi-Fi and working.

I had the same issue for my Doorbell 3 plus come up an error code P1-70. I rang up to customer service and they said there is an issue with the software for my Doorbell 3 plus. So they sent me replacement doorbell 4.

Hey! I know I’m late to the party but just to let you know and any future people with the P1-70 code. I ordered a new battery as a last ditch attempt before forking out for a new doorbell and it’s worked!! Woop!

Hi @lordkarrde. The description above the error code is what that error code means. For example, your code means your Video Doorbell is offline and no longer connected to your Chime Pro, which is what the description above your code should have said. You should have also seen things to try to resolve your Video Doorbell being offline below the error code. Since this will involve reconnecting your Video Doorbell to your Chime Pro or router, you will need to remove the faceplate to press the setup button. If the security screw is stripped, you can try a couple of things, such as using pliers to grab the screw and spin it around, or using a rubber band to add to the end of the security screwdriver to see if it will get the screw to spin. If you try these steps and still cannot remove the screw, give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) for further assistance.
