Bticino intercom transfo usable?

Hi, I recently purchased a Ring 2 to replace our Bticino intercom system. Can I connect the Ring 2 to the transfo of the old Bticino intercom? I just want it to charge the battery, nothing more. Or do I have to use a resistor? Anyone used the same set-up? Thanks! J.
