Brittle plastic covers break easily

Im getting really tired of replacing the plastic covers for my video doorbell. As a Chicagoan, the temperature in winter gets down into the negatives at times which drains the battery quite quickly, requiring regular charging. In turn, to do so one must remove the bottom screw and take off the plastic cover by squeezing the sides in to release it. Due to the extreme cold, these covers become very brittle and break really easily.  Im done constantly spending money on a product not designed for ease of use in all weather.
