It seems the lens protector has degraded which is causing poor video. In fact it’s so poor now I can’t benefit from any monitoring. can the lens protector be replaced? Can I just remove it? Seems to be a plastic like material.

Hi @user_24a78b. Did you peel off the protective film when you first installed the Doorbell? If not, that could be what's causing the blurry video. Otherwise, I'd recommend contacting our support team directly to report the damage to the Doorbell lens, since it is impacting functionality. You can get in touch at one of the numbers here, or on Facebook @Ring by sending a private message.

Yes the film was peeled off on install years ago. This degrading is the plastic protective covering over the lens.

@user_24a78b. In that case, you will want to get in touch with our support team to see what options are available. They can review your Doorbell's warranty to determine the best resolution.
